Peter James White Electrical Ltd, reliable and professional commercial Electrical Contractor for Greater Manchester, completed a range of projects at Manchester Barton Aerodrome, including electrical inspection, testing, repairs and maintenance.
In the grounds of Barton Airfield, Peter James White Electrical replaced five redundant floodlights for 100w Brackenheath LED floodlights mounted onto existing steel posts, lighting the landing pad for helicopters, including air ambulances, for emergencies and refuelling, throughout the evening.
In addition to changing all the Wiska junction-box enclosures, a large enclosure was fitted to encase the lighting-contactor, accompanied by a new, mounted photocell.
As part of the airport’s continuing commitment to more future-proof, environmentally-sustainable electrical practices (Energy Management & Carbon Footprint), a range of electrical services were carried out in the aircraft hangars, including the Maintenance Hangar, Helicopter Hangar and The Pemberton Hangar.
Peter James White Electrical Ltd supplied and fitted two emergency twin LED spotlights within the Helicopter Hangar to give sufficient light-levels in emergency circumstances and, in The Pemberton Hangar, the old 3-phase fuseboard was upgraded to a Hager 6-way TP&N fuseboard, equipped with a new 100amp Lewden 3-phase isolator, as well as fitting an Autometers 3-phase meter, all circuits installed with RCBOs for additional protection.
Furthermore, a full EICR was conducted in the Maintenance Hangar by certified and accredited electrical company, Peter James White Electrical Ltd (NAPIT – The National Association of Professional Inspectors & Testers).
The Remedial Recommendations from the EICR were reported and, following discussions with the client about resolutions, were rectified in accordance with current electrical regulatory standards. Full Electrical Installation Certification was issued upon completion.
