Following Manchester Barton Aerodrome’s annual emergency lighting check, Commercial & Industrial Electrician Peter James White Electrical Ltd upgraded the emergency lighting system on the Control Tower’s exterior by replacing the existing lighting with circular LED IP65-Rated Waterproof emergency lights to ensure that they held their three-hour test in accordance with Health and Safety standards and, with regards to Energy Management and more environmentally-sustainable electrical practices, providing lower power consumption through more energy-efficient LED lighting options (Carbon Footprint).
The airport’s continuing commitment to a more future-proof, sustainable electrical infrastructure extended to the installation of new LED lighting solutions in the Heliport’s Headquarters: Three emergency bulkheads were replaced with LED equivalents on the corridors and five lights on the stairway were replaced with LED circular chrome fittings making the staircase safer in the case of an emergency. Furthermore, full EICR testing (Electrical Installation Condition Report) was conducted on Hangars 2 and 3 – All ‘plane’ sailing work at Manchester Barton Aerodrome!
