Light Oaks Junior School benefitted from the installation of more energy-efficient, sustainable lighting in the classrooms and the replacement of various emergency light fittings in the corridors, hall and plant room, which involved 3-tier scaffolding to tend to the lights in the hall.


In the classrooms, energy-saving motion sensors were connected to the lighting, thus reducing the amount of time the lights are on (only in operation when someone is in the classroom), which can lower electricity bills, as well as saving the Caretaker having to circulate the classrooms to switch the lights off at the end of each school day!
