At Helsby High School in Cheshire, Peter James White Electrical Ltd provided a complete electrical installation upgrade for REMBuild Ltd’s conversion and refurbishment of a science laboratory into a newly-configured, multi-purpose workspace, computer suite and Sixth Form room.
Providing more energy-efficient, sustainable and longer-lasting lighting systems (less recycling), new LED lights were fitted throughout the new room configurations, and the old existing two-way switching was removed. New three-compartment trunking was fitted for the computing facilities and the science classroom was rewired, incorporating four island benches and a teacher’s bench, supplying power to the new in-built media wall at the front of the laboratory.
In the Sixth Form room, a new power supply was fitted to the new kitchenette area, including sockets for appliances, the hot water boiler and a Zip Hot Water Tap for more sustainable water consumption and energy/waste management.
