St Peter’s RC High School (Manchester)


Peter James White Electrical Ltd, Commercial Electrician and Electrical Specialist, was part of REMBuild’s collaborative design and development project of the Science Department at St Peter’s RC High School in Manchester.


In the new science classrooms, work consisted of rewiring the electrics in accordance with the new island-bench layout and configuration in each laboratory, installing integrated pedestal socket-boxes to enable accessibility for experiments and scientific demonstrations on the new multipurpose workstations.


With regards to Health & Safety, Peter James White Electrical Ltd installed new gas-guard systems (gas-proving units to isolate the gas), along with Carbon Dioxide (CO2) monitors, as well as supplying new power to the fume cupboards, including the extraction systems.


Additionally, new interactive whiteboards and corresponding power supplies were installed to further enhance the teaching and learning experience for the pupils at St Peter’s RC High School.
